Locating Music and Drama

Resources and information regarding music and drama material are available on the following sites:

  • The Encore Catalogue of Performance Music Sets
  • IAML (UK & Ireland) Resources
IAML is the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres and exists to represent and promote the interests of music librarians and libraries, music-related archives and music information providers. IAML (UK & Ireland) also administer the Cecilia database, which provides information on music collections in archives, libraries and museums across the British Isles.
  • The National Library of Scotland has some useful resources here:
  •  Fresh Horizonsí Yorkshire Music Library holds collections of music formerly at the Wakefield Music and drama library.
  • Drama sets can be searched for at the Leeds Drama library
  • Individual music scores: UnityUK and the British Library include information on individual scores and scripts (as opposed to sets).
